Open and Distance
Learning or mostly known by ODL is the trend of very famous and popular high
education today. USM were the leader and first University of create ODL
since 1970 then UKM on 1995/1996, followed by UM in 1996/97 and then UiTM. UUM
also involved in ODL. The latest University is OUM. ODL means students and
tutor living in difference places. They only meet certain time that is
scheduled by the University itself. They have their own time table because the
ODL learning by the flexible time and places. The exam comes by the end of
semester. Diploma or Degree is given to candidates that who had passed all exams
in their course. All over the world are doing this to all person who are
interested to join the high education of ODL.
